About Berklee PULSE
The Berklee PULSE® Music Method is a unique and innovative online music education portal that enables students to study, jam, and practice with interactive modules and an ever-expanding collection of popular music. PULSE (Pre-University Learning System Experience) takes the best of the Berklee College of Music curriculum—including theory, harmony, arranging, ear training, and more—and presents it in an accessible, appealing, and educational way for students.
With PULSE, students can learn about music and prepare for higher learning opportunities by utilizing a wealth of self-guided learning materials, video lessons, and interactive teaching modules—all free of charge. The Berklee-designed curriculum helps students learn instrumental technique, theoretical understanding, ensemble playing, historical context, and more through video lessons with world-renowned musicians and professionally trained instructors. A selection of music-based games teaches children how to compose, arrange, produce, and remix music using a library of grooves in the Jam Room.
PULSE is open to anyone, with exclusive resources available through Berklee City Music and select public school partners. PULSE gives students and teachers the benefits of a Berklee education—no matter where they live.
