The Check Your PULSE Tour includes some of Berklee City Music's finest musicians as they travel across the country to perform and share their music and craft with City Music Network sites in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Miami, New Orleans, and Los Angeles. The tour's purpose is to support the community of educators, students and their families that serve in Berklee City Music's mission of creative youth development. The Check Your PULSE tour begins!

Berklee City Music Boston is the founding site of the Berklee City Music Network. City Music is an out-of-school time, student-centered organization with a holistic approach for training musicians by building leaders and fostering community.

Performances and master classes in New York City will be held Renaissance Youth Center. Their mission is to empower at-risk inner city youth to fully maximize their potential as productive and responsible members of society, by offering dynamic, team-building education, music, and sports programs, while instilling the importance of building strong communities.

Performances and master classes in Philadelphia will be held at the Philadelphia Clef Club. Their mission is to “celebrate and preserve the legacy of jazz through accessible education for the Greater Philadelphia region, and to support the evolving art form through talent development, programming, and public performance.”

Performances and master classes in Miami will be held at the LIVE! Modern School of Music. Their mission is to actively work towards establishing a collaborative network of forward-thinking organizations and individuals to produce and participate in clinics, workshops and festivals for our students, and our city.

Performances and master classes in New Orleans will be held at the Tipitina's Foundation. Tipitina’s Foundation promotes childhood music education, the professional development of adult musicians, and the increased profile and viability of Louisiana music as a cultural, educational, and economic resource.

Performances and master classes in Los Angeles will be held at A Place Called Home. A Place Called Home provides a safe, nurturing environment with proven programs in arts, education and wellness for the young people in South Central Los Angeles to help them improve their economic conditions and develop healthy, fulfilling and purposeful lives.
